I finally bought today two movies I’ve been searching for for forever: The Breakfast Club, which Target had for $10 because it’s Universal’s 100th anniversary, and 10 Things I Hate About You, which I have yet to see in an actual store, but bought online instead. All in all a good day, as I also bought seasons five and six of Friends. I may have a problem.

wanna know something cool?
I already knew, thanks to my grandma, that I was related to Colonel Custer. You know, the famous one. From Little Big Horn. Killed all the Indians (who I’m also related to). But. Due to immense amounts of boredom, I decided to find out exactly how. My 8x great-grandfather, Paul Custer, had a brother, Nicholas, who was George Armstrong Custer’s great-great-grandfather. Pretty swell....

here's the thing
I don’t cry. It’s not a thing I do. Now, don’t get me wrong. If I’m in enough physical pain, I will shed a tear. I’m too caught up in the hurt to worry about that. And, like every other girl, when I’m alone I may cry if I’m sad enough. But I do NOT cry due to things that are not real: books, movies, songs, etc. There is not one single incident in which I...

I want to vomit. Juliet Simms was just on the voice. And they liked her. Slash aren’t there rules about people with record deals being on those shows? Maybe she doesn’t have a record deal anymore. That would be understandable.

I have got to be the clumsiest person ever
I just maimed my thumb. With what, you ask? My laptop. I was reaching down for my charger and ended up falling off my bed. In order to save my laptop, which was open and in my hand, I scraped about a quarter-inch of skin off of my thumb. And then I promptly began running around the house, holding my thumb, too much in shock to go get a damn band aid. Such is the story of my life.

just a thought...
I’ve noticed that a lot of people say “Panera Bread,” in reference to the restaurant. This is one of my pet peeves. If you just say “Panera,” I’ll still know what you’re talking about. I promise I won’t confuse it with… that other thing that’s called Panera? I don’t know why, but it just really bothers me. You don’t need to...

Wikipedia Blackout
I strongly urge EVERYONE to head to Wikipedia (the English version). Right now. You will not find the usual plethora of information, but instead a blackout message in protest of PIPA/SOPA. I’m not going to take the time to explain what that is, but the bottom line is that if these acts get passed as they stand now, sites like Wikipedia, Twitter, and YouTube will no longer be able to...

snow
For those of you who may not know, I live in a suburb of Columbus, Ohio. We usually get our fair share of snow, and a good deal more of wind, every winter. Peculiarly, today was only the second time I’ve seen any snow stick this season. I’m no expert on measuring things, but I’d estimate at least three inches. But that could be drastically off. And as I mentioned, we get lots of...

I Just Read A Book
It’s called Swimsuit by James Patterson and Maxine Paetro. I’m going to start this off by saying James Patterson is either a hit or a miss for me. He has SO MANY series, as well as stand alone books, that I suppose I can’t like everything. I’ve found that I absolutely cannot read his books meant for a younger audience. The Maximum Ride series? Witch and Wizard? I...

The Best Books of the 20th Century →
Ok, so I decided to take on the endeavor of reading all the books on one of those “Best Books” lists. I arbitrarily chose this one, without any regard as to how this guy came up with the rankings (though a brief look makes it seem like he used some crazy math nonsense. feel free to look into how he did it.). As I was going through the list, I noticed a complete lack for some books I...
